Brian Larson

Brian Larson is a lifelong resident of Webster County and currently owns and operates Sunderman Farm Management Company. For more than 50 years, he’s been a professional farm manager and has held an Iowa real estate broker’s license. He is also an Iowa Notary Public. Prior to becoming a professional farm manager, Brian spent nine years with the Soil Conservation Service in Webster and Humboldt Counties. During that time, he worked with soils, drainage, and land and water conservation. In addition to his duties as a professional farm manager, he also owns and operates a 600-acre farm with his three sons in Webster County. On his farm he raises corn, soybeans, cover crops, and hay.

Brent Larson joined the Sunderman team in 2005 and is a licensed Iowa real estate broker & REALTOR®, appraiser, and crop insurance salesperson. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in management from the US Air Force Academy, a Master of Business Administration from Webster University, and a Master of Professional Agriculture from Iowa State University. Brent received the Iowa Soybean Association’s (ISA) Environmental Leader Award in 2018 for his conservation efforts.  In 2023 he was selected as a member of the ISA’s Front Forty – a champion for sustainable soil and water management practices. He is also a lifetime member of Practical Farmers of Iowa.  He is a retired Air Force officer, serving for nearly 30 years on both active and reserve duty. He was raised on a family farm in Webster County where he now lives and farms with his family.

Jon Flattery became a part of the Sunderman team in 2020. A 2013 graduate of Minnesota State and Iowa Central, Jon put his degrees in Business Management, Administration, and Agricultural Business to good use while at Taylor Land Management. Jon is a licensed real estate salesperson and certified general appraiser in the State of Iowa. Currently, Jon lives on a farm north of Fort Dodge with his wife and 7 children where he owns and operates the family farm with his Dad.

Jon Larson became a real estate sales representative with the Sunderman team in 1999. He works on real estate transactions and real estate valuations. He grew up in the Badger area just north of Fort Dodge and has operated his family farm for more than 40 years. He also spent six years as an employee with Land O’ Lakes. Jon and his wife have three daughters and a son. Jon and his son farm together in the Badger and Vincent area.

Brittany Decker

Brittany Decker joined the Sunderman team in 2025 as a farm manager. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from Iowa State University with a minor in Ag Systems Technology and a Master of Science degree in Agronomy from University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She was raised near Bode, Iowa and now lives on an acreage outside of Fort Dodge with her husband and young son. Prior to joining the Sunderman team, Brittany worked with the USDA-Natural Resource Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS) for 5 years as a Resource Conservationist. She also has experience in herbicide research, test plots, and crop scouting. Brittany brings with her knowledge in soil health, conservation, nutrient management, and Farm Bill Programs.

Brent Taylor was born and raised in northern Adair County, Iowa. In 1979 he received an Ag Business degree from Iowa State University. Taylor started managing farms in 1979 in southern Iowa. In the early 80’s he and his family moved to Fort Dodge where Taylor continued to manage farms in North Central Iowa. Taylor received his Certified General Appraisal license in 1992. Taylor Land Management was also formed in 1992. Brent Taylor is also a licensed real estate broker. He and his wife Kathy reside in Fort Dodge and are proud parents of 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren.

Isaac Larson is currently a student at Iowa State University pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems with a minor in Agricultural Business. He is interning with Sunderman Farm Management during the summer of 2025 and plans to join the company full time in the summer of 2026. A licensed private pilot and UAV pilot, Isaac combines his passion for aviation with his interest in technology and agriculture. He grew up in rural Webster County, Iowa on a family farm and around the farm management business, where he gained insight into the world of production agriculture and land stewardship from an early age. Over the past two years, he has expanded that knowledge by attending conferences and field days with the Sunderman Farm Management team. His background gives him a unique perspective on integrating modern information systems with traditional agricultural practices, and he looks forward to planting his roots in the Fort Dodge community after college.

Jenene Friedrichs

Jenene Friedrichs joined the Sunderman team as the office manager at the end of 2015. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French from the University of Northern Iowa. She was born and raised in Fort Dodge, and after living in Minneapolis for a short time after college she moved back to Fort Dodge with her husband to raise their three young children. She has over 15 years of experience working in the fields of accounting, banking, and tax preparation.

Amy Herzog

Amy Herzog is the Sunderman team’s Assistant Office Manager. She is originally from Larchwood, IA and grew up on a family farm.

After 10 years in the Des Moines area, she and her husband now reside in Badger, IA where they are raising their two children. She attended AIB for her associate degree, and then Graceland University for her Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration. She has worked as a project manager in the home mortgage and health insurance industries, but is excited to tap into to her farm roots again.

Marilyn Ropte

Marilyn Ropte has lived in Fort Dodge most of her life. She is married and has two grown daughters. Marilyn worked at city hall for 10 years and before raising her family at home. Marilyn worked for Taylor Land Management for 25 years, but this will actually be Marilyn’s second time with Sunderman Farm Management, as she was with them in 1979 for several years and is happy to be back.
